I
came to Mercy Education Project in November, 2000. I read the newsletter
and it attracted my attention. I only completed sixth grade in school
and I know that with my G.E.D., I will have the opportunity to advance.
Mercy
education Project impacts my life in several ways. I am happy to
say that I feel good with my classes because they are instructed
so I can learn. I have learned so much at M.E.P. that my self-esteem
has improved. I have met new friends and it's a great feeling to
work with them. I am so pleased with what it offers me, and I appreciate
all the things the people at M.E.P. do to help me obtain my education.
Getting my G.E.D. is important to me and I will continue to come
to class until I complete it. It will allow me to get a job and
have the opportunity to go to college. I will also set an example
for my children and encourage them to finish high school and get
a good education.

Education Project.
Currently
she is a bilingual volunteer translator in Spanish and English in
such places as courts, hospitals, and clinics. She also translates
for people in the Southwestern Community to direct them to get the
help they need.
